We here at WeWoreWhat are obsessed with health and wellness. Whether it’s breaking a sweat at pilates, getting hydrated with Fiji water or starting our mornings with celery juice, we love looking good and feeling good. Here are some of our current favorite wellness practices we subscribe to.

CBD Oil
You’ve probably heard of a little thing called CBD oil. It’s in everything from lotions to teas to gummy bears. And we are totally here for it. There are a lot of brands out there, but our personal favorite is Highline Wellness because it was the first brand Danielle was introduced to (thanks Moe!) and because of how effective it is. It can help reduce your anxiety, sleep better and alleviate pain. At the risk of sounding melodramatic, CBD products have changed our lives — so much so that Danielle is now a board member for the brand and helps them with everything from rebranding to digital content strategy. If you’re a skeptic of CBD oil or just want to be a little bit more informed, listen to this episode of WeHeardWhat?! where Danielle sits down with Highline Wellness Co-Founder Chris Roth to discuss the truths and myths of CBD.
Infrared Saunas
There’s nothing quite like a sitting and relaxing while sweating profusely, which is why we love taking a trip to the infrared sauna. They are different than normal saunas in that they don’t heat the air around you, instead they use panels to heat the body tissue and organs to detox the body on a cellular level. In non-biological terms: infrared saunas can help you lose weight, improve your circulation and help with anti-aging. Plus, you can even burn up to 600 calories in one 40 minute session. Burning calories without having to move a muscle? Yes please.
Melissa Wood Health
Speaking of burning calories, another way we love to get our sweat on is by doing “The MWH Method” by Melissa Wood aka our health hero. She’s a mom, certified health and wellness coach, yoga and pilates teacher, meditator, overall boss woman and best of all one of our friends. Her methods focus on slow, controlled movements that deepen the breath-body connection to sculpt long, lean lines throughout your entire body. She also introduced us to one of our favorite breakfast options or mid-day snacks: the spirulina smoothie. Spirulina is one of the richest plant-based sources of protein and is packed with significant amounts of calcium, niacin, potassium, magnesium, B vitamins and iron. Basically, every good thing you should be putting into your body is found in this biomass of cyanobacteria. You can find our favorite smoothie recipe here.
Lymphatic Drainage
Team WWW are big fans of lymphatic drainage. You’ve probably seen Danielle post about it on her Insta Stories at least once a week. Lymphatic drainage is a technique designed to stimulate the flow of lymph, which is a fluid that transports white blood cells, oxygen, and nutrients to tissues throughout the body. It can majorly help with arthritis, orthopedic injuries, swelling and other issues. For us in particular, we like to use it as a treatment to reduce fluid retention, muscle recovery and cellulite. Our go-to spot is IMD Spa in NYC. Hello smooth skin.
Celery Juice
We may have jumped on the celery juice train because it was trendy, but we’ve stayed on it because of how awesome the benefits are. Celery is packed with vitamin K, vitamin C, potassium, folate, manganese, calcium, riboflavin and magnesium aka all of the good stuff. Due to its high percentage of water and electrolytes, consuming celery keeps you hydrated. It’s also packed with anti-inflammatory properties that can help with acid reflux, bloating, IBS, acne and eczema. Let’s be real, celery juice may taste like drinking a glass of liquid grass — but we will chug it anyday if it means clearer skin. Bottoms up!
Dry Brushing
While there are many ways and methods of achieving soft, glowing skin, there are only a handful that you can do in the comfort of your home (and on the cheap). Which is why we are big advocates for dry brushing. Dry brushing is a technique that involves massaging a dry, stiff brush all over your body. The results? It reduces the appearance of cellulite, promotes collagen production and improves circulation that leaves your skin soft and radiant. The best part about dry brushing is that you don’t have to go to a fancy spa or spend your hard-earned paycheck to reap the benefits. You can do it right in your very own bathroom. The process is also super simple: Before you hop in the shower rub the dry brush all over your body in gentle, circular upward motions. Our favorite brush is this one from Complete Skin Makeover. RIP flaky, dry skin.
Meditation
Living in NYC is a dream, don’t get us wrong, but it’s easy to get sucked into all of the hustle and bustle that the city generates. Which is why we implement meditation into our everyday routine. Mediation prevents us from getting stressed and allows us to be less reactive to any of the negativity that might get thrown our way. Some of our favorite ways to recenter ourselves are by using the Headspace app or one of Melissa’s mediation sequences (try one here). You’ll be feeling all sorts of zen in no time.
