When it comes to my makeup, minimalism is key. Covering up my dark circles, thickening my lashes, and adding a sun-kissed glow are the only steps in creating my everyday look. Don’t get me wrong—I love playing around and trying out new products. But let’s face it (literally): I’m not a girly girl or an expert when it comes to applying makeup. That’s why I was so excited when Vanity Fair asked me to participate in their “Beauty Through the Ages” video series featuring Revlon products. These products make it so easy because each one has specific directions for application. For my look, I pulled inspiration from the 1970s; I’m totally convinced that I was a 70s flower child in my past life time, and I love the free-spirit vibe that filled the air during that decade. Life was just a bit more simple then, which goes hand in hand with my minimalist makeup mantra.
